How You Can Make An Income Out Of Playing Games At Work!

Have you ever wondered what it might be like to have a Career which would permit you to play games for a living, being paid to have fun at work? Well, one such Career is real, and it is something I would like to look into, as I myself have been looking for New careers for a little while, and this is one of the New careers I have looked at which has looked like a huge amount of fun. The Career I am talking about is concerned with working in the Games Workshop, which is committed to showing people how to play, paint, and collect the very popular Warhammer game. There are many New careers you can get into which are linked with this game, but I want to look at the people who are at the front line of this – the shop assistants and managers around the UK.

Now, to be able to genuinely consider this as a New career, you need to be, not also really good at the Warhammer game (well, perhaps not good, but a good awareness of how it works and the rules are crucial) you need to be a really bubbly, friendly person, and able to relate well with just about all people you meet. The reason for this is really important – your job is to attract people to the store, and welcome newcomers to the game, and then get them psyched enough about the game to want to come back and play again. Most importantly, you need to get them thrilled enough that they are willing to spend money on the game – the Warhamer game is a pretty costly hobby to get into, so you really do have to get people psyched and motivated to play this game and take it up as a past-time, if you are going to do well. Now this means of course, that a huge part of your Career is spent playing the game, and encouraging others to play as well.

It is not just about playing the game however; you will be required to show a bit initiative and plan and events at your store in order to help promote business. Painting workshops are hugely popular in these shops, where people can pop along and get free assistance on painting their figures, and possibly be encouraged to buy more paints that they may need later on, or to enhance the look of their models. So it will help if you have been able to dedicate a bit time to bettering your painting technique and improving on it, so you can then assist other people in their attempts to paint great models.

Of all the New careers I have looked at recently, this definitely seems to be one of the more fun ones I have looked at. Indeed, when chatting to the managers of several stores which are local to me, I have discovered that they are extremely lively, happy people who enjoy their job, and will go to great lengths to help you get accustomed to the game, and ensure you understand fully what is occuring when you play. This is why it is such an attractive New career to me.
